Ponient Marinada By Portaventura World, Salou

The hotel is conveniently situated, just a short stroll from the main strip with its own bar and a simple entertainment program. As a single traveler, compared to the aparthotel I had booked through Tui, the stay had its ups and downs. The service was exceptional with very helpful and cheerful staff, but communication could be a bit tricky since most receptionists mainly spoke Russian. The location was good overall, offering easy access to everything but being quite noisy. Dining was a delight, especially the seafood dishes, although I only dined at the hotel on two nights. Facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is very child-friendly and well-run, catering heavily to families. We had a pleasant stay, and we would definitely consider returning on a bed and breakfast basis. The location is nice and reasonably priced, though we were shocked to hear about thefts nearby.

The Marinada apartments complex was perfect for our 1-week holiday. The rooms had all the essentials including a cleaning kitchen pack and a bathroom beauty basket on arrival, which was a lovely touch. The small pool and quieter side pool were ideal for those who struggle with heat and want a peaceful reading spot, although the rooms were a little basic.
